We just can't believe that our week here is coming to a close, but wew will still be dreaming about it for the weeks to come.
From the moment that the twin otter touched down on the small runway is has been deliciously peaceful, and great fun!
The diving has been so relaxed wtih Calebs beautiful maps and Woz guiding us if we needed. The turtles have been at so many of the dive sites, wit glimpses of reef sharks out in the crystal blue water. And so many rays! Eagle Rays swooping by as if looking for applause snd yellow rays gently blending into the coral head colours.
The eye sharp award ahs to go to Annabelle, finding the peacock flouders as well as the juvenile spotted drums. We've been diving all around the world; The great barrier reef, the Maldives and Red Sea, to name a few. What I had forgotten was just how special the coral reef is here. It strikes you as soon as you jump in- you see so many butteflyfishes (they only eat coral polyps) and so few brittlestars (they only eat dead coral).
We came here to dive as a way of testing if my husband's injured foot was going to put an end to his diving career. Everyone has been so helpful on the boat and getting in and out of the water. The great news is that he is diving, enjoying it and already planning future trips back to Reef Divers!
