Oct 03, 2007 10:59 AM George - Palatine, Illinois If you are going to Little Cayman to dive, Reef Divers is for you. Reef Divers has 4 nice large comfortable boats. I was on the Cayman Sister for a week. Easy to get on and off, everyone had plenty of space and room to move around.
The boat captains/dive masters are pros. Ben was captain and dive master Alex was first mate. Also Sunny helped out as a dive master and instructor from time to time. Ben, Alex and Sunny give the best pre-dive briefings I've ever seen. Dive sites are drawn in colour, with attention given to special things to see - swim throughs, deptsh, max depths, times, etc. Various options are given for those who may not want to use swim throughs. Fresh water to drink and wash off are on the boat for each dive. A cooler for snacks is also provided. Extra care is given for those with camera equipment. A photo pro joined us during the week getting great shots of all divers and various fish and marine life. Gear is available for rent and is in great condition. Tanks are available for shore dives. Night dives are also offered twice a week. A great place with great people and very reasonably priced. I'll be back! Category: General | Posted By: Dive Master Oct 03, 2007 10:49 AM Our first trip to LC Our first trip to Little Cayman Beach Resort has been perfect! We enjoyed the best room with ocean front view, the best dive boats we have ever been on with two easy step ladders and a smooth, fast ride; fresh water hose and upper viewing deck too!
The numerous variety of eash dives were well explained with fun drawings of each dive site and "recommended" routes. Each dive buddy team can do their own thing or follow a dive guide. The clean waters presented schools of fish, turtles, a rare nurse shark, crabs, lobsters and many other different fish - from huge groupers to peaceful French angelfish and a great variety of hard corals and barrel sponges. The tiny life is also abundent, like the cleaner shrimps etc. The staff are all very friendly and keen to join in with jokes for safety stops, good music or stories on every dive. You feel like you joined your friends for a week's diving, rather than being a guest at a resort! The facilities are also perfect and a fresh water pool and jacuzzi post dive fun! Finally but far from least, is the amazing food that seemed to only get better and better! There is also a great outdoor bar for socialising and relaxing with a fun event each night if you need any further distrctions! A great place indeed. Category: General | Posted By: Dive Master |
