Little Cayman Beach Resort offers several different fishing experiences on Little Cayman, and we maintain our own fleet of boats specifically for fishing adventures. Anyone from the non-fisherman to advanced anglers can find something exciting. Flats-fishing is available from one of our skiffs in the shallow waters of South Sound, where anglers can reel in many species of inshore fish, including Bonefish, Snapper, and Barracuda. During certain parts of the year, Permit Fish can also be targeted in the sound. Beginners with light spinning tackle to expert fly-fisherman are welcome. This is a great way to see many parts of the island that many people never see on their dive trips.

Little Cayman Beach Resort has our own, experienced fly-fishing guide and instructor that will take you to secluded flats on the island and stalk Bonefish and Permit Fish. Wading through the crystal-blue Caribbean Sea and turtle grass, our friendly guide will help you look for tailing fish feeding on local crabs and crustaceans. The perfect cast connects you to one of these explosively fast fish and if all goes well, we’ll snap a quick picture and release him back into the azure waters of Little Cayman.

For the Tarpon fisherman, Little Cayman has a very unique lake called Tarpon Pond; a land-locked lake with small to medium size Tarpon that were presumably stranded many years ago during a tropical storm. Having bred exclusively in this secluded pond for many years, these aggressive fish can be targeted with light-spinning gear or 8-9 weight fly-fishing tackle. Early morning, exclusive trips with just one angler and one guide will have you back at the resort for breakfast with time to catch the dive boats for both morning dives.
